How APC Killed Former Governor Alamieyiesagha - Izon Brotherhood

Hmm! Read the report..and let's know if you agree with them. A socio-cultural organization, Izon Brotherhood in the Diaspora has accused the APC of being responsible for the death of first civilian governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Dieprieye Alamieyesiegha, who passed away in Port-Harcourt yesterday.

The Spokesman of the group, Arc. Pere Jones, in a statement sent to the media from Germany, said the recent extradition notice by the United Kingdom aggravated the health of the former governor and his subsequent death.

Alamieyesiegha's health was said to have deteriorated and rushed to a private hospital in Port-Harcourt where he slipped into comma as doctors were said to have battled to save his life until he passed on.

He berated the APC who he claimed was behind the recent extradition notice that must have aggravated the health of the former Ijaw leader who reportedly died of heart attack.

Jones condemned the alleged role of the APC which reportedly influenced the inclusion of Alamieyesiegha's name among those wanted by the UK government even after going through the whole legal hurdles of prosecution, conviction and later pardoned.

Jones was particularly critical of the role allegedly played by some Ijaw sons whom he accused of working hand-in-hand with the APC to undermine the Ijaw nation. He said,
"Clearly, it's a shame to all our Ijaw brothers who are in league with the APC, witch hunting and working against their fellow Ijaw brothers and sisters, being singled out for alleged corruption charges. They should be ashamed of themselves. Frankly no Ijaw man worth his salt should have anything to do with APC. With what they have done to our dear leader, Alamieyesiegha, no right thinking son or daughter of Ijaw extraction should be seen associating with the APC. His death is really unfortunate."

Kwara state APC youth, reject Lai Mohammed's ministerial nomination

APC Youths in Kwara state have rejected the ministerial nomination of Lai Mohammed as the minister representing Kwara state. The youths under the aegis Coalition Groups of All Progressives Congress, APC presented a petition letter to the state party chairman, Ishola Balogun Fulani at the party secretariat, accusing Lai Mohammed of not working towards the success of the party in the state during the last election but concentrated his energy in Lagos state.

They say it will be unfair to other party members in the state who are well deserving and worked for the success of the party in the state.

Spokesperson of the group, Prince Adetoyese Omokanye said

"His permanent voter’s card(PVC) was registered and collected in Lagos and all his contributions for the emergence of APC at the federal level are through lagos. He was not in Kwara all through the electioneering exercise and couldn’t influence our electoral successes at the poll. His son is presently a member of Lagos state house of assembly. Therefore,he stressed,”we are baffled when newspapers claims indicated that he represents Kwara state in the ministerial list submitted by the president to the national assembly for screening. Our assumption was that two nominees have been taken from Lagos,Alhaji Lai Mohammed and Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola.

Confirming Lai Mohammed as representing Kwara state in the ministerial position is denying Kwara state of being represented at that level. It will be justice denied, and a promotion of unfairness and political exclusion of Kwara state in the affairs of our country. To this end,we request that Mr President chose among qualified individuals with impeccable character from Kwara South senatorial district to represent the state at the federal council. Kwara south senatorial district is made up of seven local government out of the sixteen in the entire state. We have great minds, success stories that could bring more and positive impacts to the nation building, people with unbeatable track records and have impacted positively to the social, political and economic integration of Kwara state. These group contributed greatly to the success of APC at all levels in Kwara state‎”he said

Here Is What Obama Has To Say About Kanye West’s Dream Of Becoming US President In 2020

It is no longer news that popular rapper, Kanye West has intention to run for President in 2020. He made the announcement at the VMAs and the world has been left wondering just how serious he is ever since.

Now, the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama weighed in on the situation – with a little advice for Kanye.

President Obama gave Kanye some advice about running for president in 2020 during a speech at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in San Francisco on Saturday, October 10. The event featured a performance by the rapper. He stated:

Kanye is thinking about running… for Speaker of the House. It couldn’t get any stranger. But in case Kanye is serious about this whole POTUS thing –- or as he calls it, ‘peezy’ –- I do have some advice for him.
First of all, you have to spend some time dealing with some strange characters who act like they’re on a reality TV show. You gotta be cool with that.
Second important tip: Saying you have a beautiful dark twisted fantasy — that’s what’s known as off message in politics. People have lost congressional seats that way.
And number three: Do you really think this country’s going to elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago with a funny name to be president of the U.S.? That’s crazy. Cray.
Obama and Kanye are both from Chicago’s south side.In response, Kanye West sent out two pairs of Yeezys to the President and shared the photos on social media.

One photo showed two boxes containing shoes from West’s line, Yeezy Boost, with the name Obama on both while in the second photo, President Obama’s signature with the number 44, is next to Kanye’s signature with the numbers 46 and 2020, signifying Obama as the 44th president and West as the 46th president, if he were to be elected.

Vincent Enyeama Drops New Instagram Post On Oliseh And His Retirement From Super Eagles

Nigeria’s most capped footballer, Vincent Enyeama latest Instagram post on his controversial exit from Super Eagles:

“Who would be happy after just burying your mother that carried you nine months in the womb and suffered for you day and night, jumping on a six-hour plane to represent your fatherland only to be stripped of the captainship and humiliated at the first meeting in front of everyone after serving the nation for 13 years?
“I have honoured about 99 per cent of the national team’s invitations, no matter where the match is played. Anyway, my decision to quit the national team is for the best interest of the nation. I don’t want to be the reason that Nigerian football house is divided. I want Nigeria to get back up to where it belongs. It’s a professional decision made for the blessing of the nation. I am very sorry for being the reason that all these things are happening. God bless Nigeria,”

Eyaa! Just See The Wish Of This Eight Year Old Rape Victim

This is heartbreaking! Eight-year-old girl, identified simply as Nnena, narrates how she was violated by a man, Atipo Larry, whom she described as a customer in her mother’s shop.

As Nnena said that, the incident, which happened around Oparo Street in Fagba area of Lagos, on a Sunday afternoon, shortly after she and mum came back from church, was not the first time Larry would sleep with her, saying he had done ‘it’ with her on many occasions but that she was too scared to tell her mum, identified simply as Janet.

The little girl, whose father is no more, told our correspondent that Larry, who is said to be an ex-convict, used to come to buy things from her mum’s shop, which is outside Larry’s house. She recalled that her mum was not around the first time he did ‘it’ to her.
In the presence of her mother, who was visibly disturbed by the incident, Nnena said,
“It started one afternoon when my mum was not around. I was the only one in the shop. When he came out of the house and saw me sitting in front of the shop, he gave me N50 to help him buy cigarette, pure water and Tom Tom and asked me to come and give him the items in his house.
“When I entered the sitting room, he told me not to tell anyone about what he wanted to do and that if I told anyone, he would kill me. He carried me and lay me on the floor, removed my dress and removed his. He lied on top of me and ‘did something.’ I was feeling pains in my body and I tried to shout but he covered my mouth.
“When he finished, he picked his cloth and cleaned the blood on my body and on his own body. He then told me to go and warned me not to tell anyone about it. I wanted to shout but he covered my mouth. I left the house crying but there was nobody around.”
Nnena, who seemed not to know what Larry was doing to her, said she felt serious pain when he penetrated her private part, saying she kept screaming because of the pain but that there was no one in the house and then he covered her mouth.
Too scared to ‘die’, she went about her normal activities and never said a word to her mother. She recalled that her mother had told her that if she allowed anyone to touch her private part, she would die, which was to alert her on the need to be protective, but Larry’s threat seemed to outweigh that. He didn’t stop there; he did the same thing the following day and allegedly continued in the act; sending her on errands anytime her mother was not around, luring her into the house, where he was allegedly squatting and sleeping with her.
On the day he was caught, she explained that she was with her mum when Larry signalled to her and told her to lie to her mum that she was going to use the toilet, which she did.

“When I left where my mum was, he dragged me into his house, carried me and took me to the back of the chair (sofa) and did it on the floor. He covered my mouth so I could not shout. He had just stood up and was about lying on top of me again when my mum came in. I quickly took my gown and ran away.”

Asked why she had to go back after repeated assaults, she said she was afraid to die and that she had to run away so her mum wouldn’t beat her.
Visibly angered by the development, Janet explained that she was outside her shop washing plates on the Sunday afternoon when her daughter told her she was going to use the restroom. “I told her to go and that was not the first time she would go to the toilet alone.

“I waited for her to return, but she didn’t. I went to check the toilet, she wasn’t there. Meanwhile, I had been seeing Larry walking around earlier, so I went inside his house and saw my daughter on the floor, naked. He was also naked but when he saw me, he ran away. It took the intervention of neighbours to track him and we handed him over to the police.

“I have always told him never to come to my shop again. He owes me some money but I told him to leave it so he could stop coming to my shop. I didn’t know he was doing such with my daughter.”
Even though Larry, who is allegedly an ex-convict, is currently helping the police with investigations at the State Criminal Investigation Department at Yaba, Nnena is left with some infections she might have to battle with for some time. “I just want him to die in prison because of what he did to me,” she said.
The Spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Mr. Joe Offor, said the case was still under investigation, adding that the necessary action would be taken as soon as the investigation was completed.

This Teenager Got Raped By 60 Year Old Stepfather, Forced To Live On The Street

Tucked somewhere inside the expansive Shari Estate on the Iyana Ipaja – Ipaja Road in Lagos is a small wooden kiosk located around the popular Pako Bus Stop with ‘FOOD IS READY’ boldly written on it.
Any passer-by could easily mistake it for a mini food canteen, but on a closer look, it looks like an abandoned kiosk, stocked with some dusty luggage. But strange as it may seem, this kiosk is home to 14-year-old Tomilola, her brother, Rahman, 10 and their 42-year-old mother, Felicia (not real names).

The three of them have had to settle for this kiosk as their abode since Tomilola was allegedly raped by her stepfather, 60-year-old Joseph Salako, and they were constrained to leave the man’s house. Since there was no money to get an accommodation, they had to make do with the abandoned kiosk.

Apart from the kiosk’s appalling exterior, the interior was decorated on both sides with dusty luggage, including an old wooden bench and a torn mat, on which they all sleep every night.

But life had not always been like this for them. In July 2015, Felicia caught her husband, Tomilola’s stepfather, moment after raping the teenager. And so, their woes began. After she raised the alarm, they were allegedly sent packing by the suspected rapist and they have been living on the street ever since.

Tomilola who is a sickle cell patient said her stepfather had formed the habit of sleeping with her at any slight opportunity and threatening her never to divulge the secret or face death. She recalled that it started one afternoon when she came back from school and went to greet her stepfather upstairs when he lured her and forced himself on her.

“My mum had told me to always go and greet him anytime I got home. So, when I came back from school, I went to greet him. I was about leaving when he called me and said he wanted to tell me something that I must not tell anyone.
He said he wanted to sleep with me. I refused but before I could run away, he carried me and took me inside. He tore my panties and ‘did it’. I was crying because it was paining me but he didn’t stop. I tried to shout but he covered my mouth. When he finished, he cleaned my legs and his ‘thing’ and warned me that he would kill me if I told anyone.”

For the fear of the perceived death, Tomilola refused to tell anyone about the incident. Even when he allegedly raped her repeatedly, the fear would not allow her talk to anyone about it, until the day he was caught.

“That was not the only time he did it. At other times, he would call me and tell me to ‘suck’ him and because I usually refused, he would slap me. Sometimes, in the midnight, he would come down from the bed and ‘do it’ with me. If I tried to shout, he would cover my mouth and ask if I was ready to die. I would have to endure the pain and just keep quiet.
The day my mum saw us was the fifth time. When my mum came in, he was already doing it but when he saw the ray of light from the torch my mum was holding, he quickly stood up and went to block her. He would always promise to buy me anything I needed. We had to leave because of the incident.”Felicia had lost her husband in 2008 in a motor accident after which she married Salako and moved in with him together with her two children, both of whom are sickle cell patients.

Since the rape incident happened in July, Felicia and her two children, excluding the eight-year-old girl she had with the man, have had to move out of Salako’s house, to avoid the fulfilment of the threat allegedly handed down by Salako’s children, should they report the matter to the police.

Pained by what happened to her daughter, Felicia defied that threat and reported the matter at the Gowon Estate police station. Even though Salako was arrested, he was allegedly released the following day because he promised to pay N50,000 for ‘damages’, the idea Felicia said she was constrained to accept because of the threats by Salako’s children and the need to raise money to take care of the children.

Not only that, she said one of Salako’s daughters took her to the State High Court premises at Ikeja and made her swear an affidavit that she would not press charges.

“They took advantage of the fact that I am not literate,” she said.

Felicia could barely avoid breaking down in tears as she explained how fate had brought them to their present situation.

She explained that she used to have a shop in front of her (new) husband’s house where she was doing a dry-cleaning job and that after closing from the shop, usually in the night, they would all go in and sleep.

On the day of the incident, she said her little boy was asleep in the shop and because of the cold, she sent her daughter to go into their room upstairs and bring a cloth to cover the little boy, who was sick. She said she became unsettled when the girl did not return on time. She continued,

“I was waiting for her to return with the cloth so I could cover her brother, but when I didn’t see her, I took my torch and went upstairs to see why it was taking her too long. When I entered the sitting room, the other children had slept and everywhere was quiet.
So, I went towards the room and suddenly, my husband came out of the room naked and blocked the entrance with his hands. I asked him why he was blocking me but instead of answering me, he asked what I was looking for. So, I passed under his hand to see what was happening. To my greatest surprise, I found my daughter also naked on the floor. I saw my daughter’s panties close to the entrance. When I asked her what happened, she was about explaining when he slapped her and told her to keep quiet. I couldn’t hold it to myself, so I screamed and started shouting.
His other children then came out and told me not to make noise about it so I wouldn’t disgrace their father, but I couldn’t keep it to myself. I slept in the shop with the two of them that night.” After series of threats from Salako’s children, some neighbors who later learnt about the incident, advised her to make a formal report at the police station two weeks later.
“I went to report at the Gowon Estate Police Division. Because of the way the man always pestered me for sex, I used to pray that God should help me so he could reduce his demands. So when he stopped asking, I thought my prayer had been answered not knowing that he had transferred his urge to my daughter.
“I didn’t know he could do that to my child even when he is not the father. This is the man I was married to for nine years. These days, anytime I come across him or his children, they keep threatening me.”Stuck in frustration and utter depression, Felicia has been taking care of her children with the little money she gets when she helps people to wash their clothes, which she does occasionally.
“I’m willing to work but there is none,” she said. Tomilola has also been helping in sustaining the family with the little she earns from a canteen where she washes plates.

Diezani Begs Nigerians for Prayers As she Undergoes Cancer Surgery Next Week

Ex-Petroleum Resources Minister, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, who is reportedly battling with cancer in London and under investigation by UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) for alleged corruption, has asked Nigerians for to pray for her as she undergoes cancer surgery next week. Mrs Madueke spoke through Oscar Onwudiwe, her family’s lawyer.

In a statement, Onwudiwe said: “The Madueke family, like most other families, has its own challenges. For instance, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke has been receiving treatment for cancer in the UK which started while she was in office. She completed months of chemotherapy just last week and she is scheduled to undergo surgery next week in London.

The family has been bearing this challenge with prayers and as much grace and fortitude as possible; and would plead with all reasonable Nigerians to pray for her recovery so that she can face these allegations and give account of her stewardship.”

The call for prayers came after an earlier statement released on Thursday in which the family revealed the state of the former minister. Onwudiwe had made the following statement:

“The stories are false but it(sic) feeds the mood of the moment; hence, the silence from Diezani all along. It is worth emphasising that Mrs Alison-Madueke was never arrested or detained and her passport was never seized.

She was merely invited, and she honoured it promptly. But there is a limit to how much any reasonable person can bear the tactics of these … We all know that what makes a lie fly is the little truth contained therein.

This happens to be the weapon used to defame highly-placed people.” Onwudiwe also accused the Nigerian media of reporting “laughable claims” of a purchase of an apartment in Hyde Park with an “amount which embarrassingly ranges from £12.5 million sterling to £13 billion sterling (N3.9tr).

“This claim is utterly false and laughable, for the amounts mentioned are only in the imagination of the reporters. This property is quite popular. It belongs to a well-known eminently successful Nigerian entrepreneur who would also find this allegation embarrassing as the intention to sell the property has neither been contemplated nor disclosed to any person.”

Mixed reaction greets Diezani’s prayer request

Diezani’s request elicited mixed reactions from some Nigerians. While some said they would not pray, others said they would pray for the speedy recovery of the former minister to enable her face her graft trial.

We will pray for her and all Nigerians – Ikokwu

Second Republic Politician, Chief Guy Ikokwu, who has always called for the restructuring of the country and adoption of the parliamentary system of government to check corruption, urged Nigerians to pray for the former oil minister.

‘’We will pray for her and all other Nigerians, both those who are ill and well so that God bestows His mercy on all for the right things to be done in the nation. Nigeria needs God’s mercy. God knows those who are guilty and those who are not guilty,’’ he said.

We will pray she recovers and asks for God’s forgiveness – Sarah Jubril

Former Presidential Candidate, Mrs Sarah Jubril said apart from quick recovery it is also good for Diezani to ask for God’s forgiveness if she is guilty of the graft allegations.

Her words: ‘’Thank God she believes Nigerians have a forgiving heart. We will pray she recovers and ask God for forgiveness if the allegations against her are true. Thank God she is alive. I wish her quick recovery. It is good she has the humility to ask Nigerians for their prayers. We hope to see her in good health soon.’’

She doesn’t deserve our prayers – Gbagi

However, former Minister of State for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, disagreed and urged Nigerians not to pray for her. ‘’How can we pray for her when she put Nigeria into bankruptcy? Let her go and ask forgiveness from God.

Ministerial list: Tinubu, others under security watch

Security agencies have launched a surveillance ring around a leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and others, including some members of the National Assembly, over an alleged plot against President Muhammadu Buhari.

Daily Sun reports that, the plot is not unconnected to the decision of President Buhari to dump several nominees submitted by some party leaders and political godfathers for ministerial appointments, has led to a move to mend fences between the two major contending forces in the Senate.

Intelligence reports had revealed that some state governors, party leaders and political godfathers, whose nominees were dumped by the President for his preferred candidates, have begun to “unleash their goons in a well coordinated media campaigns and groups’ protests against Mr President’s choice of ministerial nominees”

Saturday Sun gathered that of particular interest to some intelligence agencies keeping a tab on the plot “is the decision of an APC leader in the South-West to jet out of the country the moment he realised that he could not push through his ministerial nominees, only to be coordinating attacks against the President from his base outside the country.”

A top official in one of the nation’s intelligence agencies leading investigations into the alleged plot told Saturday Sun on condition of anonymity, “because the investigation is still at the preliminary stage”, that “a particular political godfather who has been spearheading the campaign to remove the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has suddenly turned round to be reaching out to Senators in his (Saraki’s) camp to mend fences so as to form a joint force to launch an attack against the President.”

“We are following all of these clues and leads including promises by the same person to help crush the criminal charges against a leading Senator. This brand of politics will in no way help the ruling party and the nation. One man must not have his way in all cases and in every arrangement”, the source added.

Though the source did not specifically mention Tinubu in the chat, the APC chieftain, however, fits into all the descriptions. It was also gathered that the presidency is already bracing up for the emerging development.

It was not clear as at press time whether the Saraki camp will accept the peace deal being offered by the party leader and support the alleged plot against the President coming at a time when the relationship between Buhari and Saraki appears to be coming on track.

A close associate of Tinubu, who pleaded for anonymity, however, told Saturday Sun that indeed the APC leader was badly hurt by the rejection of his ministerial nominees by Buhari, he would, however, not have a hand in pulling down “a house he almost single-handedly built with his efforts and resources.”

Saturday Sun had in an exclusive report before the release of the ministerial nominees reported the decision by President Buhari to dump over 73 names submitted to him by state governors, APC leaders and political godfathers to draw up a list of his own choice of ministerial nominees.

Indeed, when the list was unveiled last week, many of the party leaders including Tinubu were upset and left in shock. Rather than pick the choice of Tinubu in the South West, Buhari selected former Governors Babatunde Fashola (Lagos) and Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), both estranged political godsons of Tinubu.

The party leader could also not get human rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), Prof Pat Utomi and his former Commissioners for Information and Finance in Lagos, Messrs Dele Alake and Wale Edun, respectively on the list. Falana had been tipped to emerge as the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Alake as Information Minister and Edun as Minister for Finance.

In Osun, while Governor Rauf Aregbesola is pushing the nomination of his immediate predecessor, former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, in deference to an accord leading to the latter’s defection to APC, Tinubu is said to be backing the governor’s Chief of Staff, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, who is his (Tinubu’s) blood relation.

In Ondo, the party leadership in the state is pushing the nomination of its governorship candidate in 2012 poll, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, while Tinubu is backing his bosom friend and APC National Vice Chairman, South West, Chief Pius Akinyelure.

Nicole Kidman Says "she Wasn't Able to Handle the Reality of Life After Split with Tom Cruise"

Despite being one of Hollywood’s top leading ladies with many Oscars, Nicole Kidman has said still felt the “loneliest” she’s ever been following her 2001 split from ex-husband Tom Cruise.

After Kidman and Cruise, who were married for 10 years, pulled the plug on their marriage, Kidman went on to win an Oscar in 2003 for her role in The Hours, making her the first Australian to win an Oscar for Best Actress. But Kidman couldn’t relish in her success.

“To be completely honest, I was running away from my life at that time. I wasn't able to handle the reality of my life,” she candidly told the crowd. “As an actor, the wonderful thing is you can become something else for a time. Out of that came work that was applauded so that was an interesting thing for me.”

But in reality, Kidman soon realized she couldn’t hide in her characters, intense and varied as they were.

“I embraced my own life, which took a number of years...That culminated in winning an Oscar and that caused an epiphany — this is not the answer. I was sitting in the Beverly Hills Hotel with a gold statue and I was the loneliest I'd ever been. I was jolted out of the idea that ‘this is gonna heal me.’”

Kidman said that, in order to regain herself and her happiness, she “slowed down.”

“I did a lot of reading and a lot of talking, I managed through about five or six years and then I stumbled into Keith,” she added, before gushing about her current husband, country singer Keith Urban.

“We got married very quickly and we got to know each other when we were married,” she recalled of their 2006 nuptials. “I wanted a partner and someone to share my life. I wanted more children. That's happened for me. It's not through just luck. I was open to it and willing to change and welcome the change I got to have a child when I was 41 and then we had a surrogate.”

Kidman and Cruise are parents to Isabella, 22, and Connor, 20. Kidman and Urban share daughters Sunday, 7, and Faith, 4.

“That love is so perfect,” she concluded of motherhood. “Once you have that child you think: Ah, I'm willing to die for this person and that changes everything.”

Two explosions have ripped through a pro-Kurdish peace rally in the Turkish capital of Ankara, leaving multiple casualties.

Witnesses described how the blast shook the ground at the road junction near the main train station in the centre of the Turkish capital Ankara. The Ankara prosecutor have confirmed that at least 52 people have been killed and over 100 wounded in the blasts at 10.05am local time.

Video footage has emerged of protesters holding hands and dancing together just as the bomb is detonated in the background.

The Turkish government suspects that the twin blasts was a 'terrorist' attack, an official said.

'We suspect that there is a terrorist connection,' a government official told AFP, asking not to be named.

President Erdogan has cancelled his plans in Istanbul and three Turkish political parties have suspended election campaigning events today following the devastating attack.

It is unclear what caused the blast, sparking rumours that it may have been a suicide bomb attack

Demonstrators were planning to march in protest against the conflict between the Turkish state and Kurdish militants in southeast Turkey.

Ambulances have already begun to arrive at the scene and graphic photos have emerged on social media of multiple casualties.

Reports have emerged that Turkish police officers fired into the air to disperse angry protesters shortly after the blast.

Activists were heard chanting the slogan 'police murderers!' at security forces, outraged by the horrific attack.

'We heard one huge blast and then one smaller explosion and then there was a a great movement and panic. Then we saw corpses around the station,' said witness Ahmet Onen.

'A demonstration that was to promote peace has turned into a massacre, I don't understand this,' he said, in floods of tears.

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu had been briefed over the blast by Health Minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu, Anatolia said.

'We are investigating the explosion and will share our findings with the public as soon as possible,' a Turkish official told AFP, without giving further details.

The area was due to host an anti-government peace rally organised by several leftist groups later in the day, including the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP).

'We are faced with a huge massacre. A barbaric attack has been committed,' said the HDP's leader Selahattin Demirtas.

The attack comes with Turkey on edge ahead of November 1 polls and a wave of unrest over the past few months.

Too Bad! See How Married Woman Duped Grieving Couple With Dead Son’s ‘Baby’ (Pictured)

Some people can be heartless for real!
A married lady has been arrested in Enugu State for defrauding a grieving couple with a ‘baby,’ which she claimed belonged to their late son.

According to the police, the lady, Elitha Emeka and her husband, Emeka Moses Okechukwu planned the scam together. Detectives in Enugu State Police Command described the Elitha and her husband as seasoned fraudsters.
Elitha and Okechukwu started playing tricks on Mr. and Mrs. Eneje just months after their only son; Paschal Eneje 28 was murdered by four gunmen. Elitha was said to have appeared from nowhere, called the Enejes, saying she had a baby for their son. She said she needed money for the baby’s up keep. It was later discovered that there was no baby. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP, Ebere Amaraizu alleged that the couple maybe part of the people that conspired and murdered Paschal Eneje, 28.

Amaraizu said:
“The couple further duped the parents of Paschal. They collected N300, 000 from the deceased’s parents, under the guise that they knew those behind the killing of their late son Paschal Eneje. Paschal happened to be the couple’s only son.” Paschal was said to have been murdered on April 19, 2015, by four armed men just as he was about to drive into his compound.
The gunmen opened fire on his car and riddled it with bullets. They were said to have called his parents after killing him, pretending they had kidnapped him. They demanded for ransom, which the parents paid. Later, Paschal’s parents discovered that their only son had been killed.
While Mr and Mrs Eneje were grieving over the demise of their son and trying to find out those that murdered him, Elitha came into the scene. Police said that Elitha called Paschal’s bereaved parents and told them that she and Paschal were lovers and that she had a baby for him. She said she needed money for the baby’s up keep. When law enforcement caught up with Elitha and Okechukwu, it was discovered that there was no baby.
The parents of Paschal had however paid money into the account number given by Elitha. Amaraizu said: “The suspects had however collected the money from Paschal’s parents for the up keep of the ‘baby.’ They collected the money through a bank account provided by Elitha. Elitha however never presented the ‘baby’ to the couple even though they constantly called, begging her to bring the baby.” “The suspects are assisting operatives with investigations,” said Amaraizu. The couple’s arrest came months after the murder of Paschal. Paschal was murdered on April, 19, 2014, while Elitha and Okechukwu were arrested on September 24, 2015.

Have You Seen The Man Who Hasn't Cut His Fingernails Since 1952? (Check Him Out!)

Pictured above is a man who has not cut his fingernails since 1952 has made it into the Guinness Book of records.

Shridhar Chillal, 78 from India, has been growing the nails on his left hand since he was at school. He has continued with the impressive feat despite admitting his super-long talons have made it difficult for him to find work and love.Shridhar has now been officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the person with the 'Longest Fingernails on a Single Hand Ever' and features in their 2016 edition.

The nails has a combined length at a staggering 909.6cm. One of his thumbnails alone is two metres long.
The 78-year-old is so proud of his wares that he has offered to dedicate them to a museum, but he says they were nothing but trouble in his younger years."When I was to get married, no one was ready to marry me, I saw nearly 10 to 12 girls," he said.
"If the girl agreed to marry, her parents would say I would strangle their daughter's neck and refuse.
"If the parents agreed, the girl would say she would not marry such a dirty person."
Shridhar's obsession started when he was at school in India after a teacher beat him and his friends for breaking one of his nails.Told that he would never understand the kind of care required not to break them Sridhar determined to find out.

"Our family members opposed, then teachers were opposed but I decided from that point on that I would never cut my nails again," he said.Thankfully Shridhar's persistence paid off, and he has now achieved what he calls "the biggest goal in my life".
"I can tell everyone now with pride about my record," he said.
"When I am on my travels, people will recognise me as a Guinness World Records title holder."

Memorize: The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. - Psalm 110:2

Read: Mark 9:2-10 (KJV)

2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

10 And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

MESSAGE:

Just as God can suddenly pick up a beggar from the dunghill and set him on the throne, it is also possible for Him to give a sudden spiritual promotion. One blessed morning, Elisha woke up as the farmer’s son who wandered around with Elijah as his servant; but by the evening of the same day, he had become a father of all the sons of the prophets, and had in his possession twice the anointing of his master (2 Kings 2:9-15). How awesome! Yes, it is possible to experience a sudden spiritual promotion. Several years ago, at the Ebute-Metta (Lagos) national headquarters of our Church, we normally held our workers’ meetings in the evening with pastors and workers sitting opposite each other. On this particular Sunday evening, just before we prayed, we decided to do some Bible study. I gave a passage of Scripture and asked everyone to give their interpretation. By the time all the pastors had given their interpretation of that scripture, they were not anywhere close to what I was expecting. Thereafter, I extended the opportunity to the workers. One young worker got up and gave an accurate interpretation of the subject matter, and I said, “Congratulations, pastor!” As soon as he heard me say that, he immediately grabbed his seat and moved over to sit with the pastors. In protest, the pastors said, “No, it was only a mistake”. “What mistake?” asked the young man, “The General Overseer has called me a pastor; what else do I need? Then I waded in saying “My son, ordination with the anointing oil will come later, but from now on, you are a pastor.

Here is another truth about promotion: whether you experience an ascent or descent in life depends on who is holding your hand. If God is holding your hand, He will take you from glory to glory, and your promotion will continually be accelerated. This was the secret of Joseph’s unprecedented promotion. Genesis 49:24 says:

“But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hand of the mighty God of Jacob; (From thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)”

But if you decide to go to the devil for promotion, you will surely end up in shame. You cannot hold God with one hand and at the same time hold the devil. If you do so, you can rest assured that you are on your own because God will simply step aside. How close are you to the Lord? He can still take you up suddenly in the area of the anointing and in other spiritual matters.

Key Point: Some sudden promotions are a result of a hidden period of conscientious deliberate and sustained work of excellence.

At least 30 killed after airstrikes hit wedding in Yemen, officials say

Airstrikes hit a wedding celebration in Yemen, killing at least 30 people and leaving dozens more unaccounted for, local officials said.

The bombing Wednesday struck the wedding as it took place in Sanabani, a southwestern Yemeni town in an area controlled by Houthi rebels, according to three local security officials.
Local hospitals have been overwhelmed with victims, the officials said.

The Houthis are locked in a bitter conflict with forces loyal to the government of Yemen's deposed President. The pro-government fighters have the support of a Saudi-led coalition that has been bombing Houthi-held areas since March.

It wasn't initially clear who had carried out the strikes on Sanabani.

Coalition forces said they have no ongoing operations in the southwestern province in Yemen where the incident occurred.

"Not every explosion that takes place in Yemen is as airstrike - it could be a missile, car bomb, or weapons cache," coalition spokesman Ahmed Asseri said.

Civilians have suffered heavily amid the violence and disruption caused by the war in the impoverished nation -- and weddings have been struck previously.

Airstrikes hit a marriage ceremony last week in the southwestern province of Taiz, killing at least 131 people and wounding scores of others, the Houthi-controlled news agency Saba reported.

The news agency and Yemeni security officials accused the Saudi-led coalition of carrying out the bombing. The coalition denied the allegation, saying it didn't have any operations in that area.

Months of fighting in Yemen have left at least 4,000 civilians dead, according to the Houthi-controlled Health Ministry.

Sunday Oliseh’s lacked experience in Enyeama’s case-- Former Nigeria coach, Adegboye Onigbinde

Former Nigeria coach, Adegboye Onigbinde, insists Sunday Oliseh’s lack of managerial experience as Super Eagles coach resulted in the face off the manager had with erstwhile team captain Vincent Enyeama on Tuesday in Belgium.
Oliseh had replaced the Lille goalkeeper withAhmed Musa as captain on Tuesday following Enyeama’s late arrival for camping in Belgium ahead of the friendlies against DR Congo and Cameroon.

Enyeama had missed the Monday’s deadline after attending his mother’s funeral on Saturday in his home town.

Onigbinde commended Oliseh for his decision but warned that his poor managerial skill could tear the team apart.

“I commend Sunday Oliseh for the step he has taken. Such acts of indiscipline did not just start in the team. A recent example was Enyeama’s comments on the choice of Kaduna for the Super Eagles match against Chad. It was not his duty to decide which venue the team should play, that’s for the Nigeria Football Federation,” the former CAF instructor said.

“By that time, I condemned Enyeama’s position. We cannot allow one or two players to hold the country to ransom. If Enyeama was my son, I would have spanked him seriously for the many wrongs he has done. They’ve pampered him too much.”

Onigbinde said Oliseh’s decision to embarrass Enyeama before his teammates might breed intimidation and fear in the team.

“Oliseh lacked experience in managing the situation. When he was going to be employed by the NFF, I called people’s attention to his lack of experience. His handling of the situation shows he lacks the experience to manage the players,” Onigbinde said.

“He has done the right thing, but in a wrong way; he will get a wrong result. If I was Oliseh, I would have overlooked Enyeama’s behaviour at the moment and go on to execute my plans for the coming games. But after the games, I would simply not invite him for subsequent games. Oliseh doesn’t need to quarrel with players.

“Football is a team game; Enyeama might have his loyalists in the team and they might be sympathetic with their captain. Oliseh is not certain to get the best out of all the players following his manner of handling the matter. The matter is capable of breaking the team into two.

“It is not enough for you to know what to say, it is vital you know where to say it, why to say it, when to say it, how to say it and to whom you say it.

“An indication of Oliseh’s inexperience happened when he was preparing the team for the Tanzania game. Three days before the game, it was reported that some of the players were complaining of the strenuous training he gave them. You don’t give strenuous workout to players hours before a game; it will cause fatigue. I guess he was trying to impress his employers but that contributed to the poor performance of the players.

“I did not support the NFF’s choice of Oliseh because of his lack of experience, but once he has been employed, I have to accept it and pray that he succeeds.”
